The gym at Lakewood is the biggest gym in Norwalk. Some of the high school players and east view players will practice there. It's a brand new gym ,and there's a game on the wall where you hit the flashing lights.

In Mrs.Nichols class we have I Pod touches and I Pads. We have 20 I Pod touches and 2 I Pads. Mrs.Nichols has put games for different subjects and just fun games.She also has useful apps for different subjects that are like references.We use them almost every day ,and I think I'm almost already used to having them in the classroom.They're so much fun to use,and the make it so much easier for all of us to be on the inertnet at the same time.It's so cool to have them and they're so much fun!

Student Council

We have two student council members in Mrs.Nichols class. Their names are Allie and Drake. Student councils job is to go to a meeting during lunch every Tuesday and after lunch in class they bring the information they gathered in the meeting like the things that are going around in school and tell us. Also they have to bring our classes recycle bin and bring it outside where the big recycle bin is. By Sophie

The New P.E. for Life

This year we have a P.E. for life room. Teachers can go in thier after school and run on the machines. On one of the machines we can play grammer, math, and spelling games while you are running on it. This is a picture of Abby running on one of the four workout machines in this room,

On Spelling City we do our weekly spelling test,and we do them on Monday and Friday.You can play games and teach me where you can see the spelling list for the week .Test me is where you can do test to practice your words, and do as many times as you want to.By Ryan

AR tests are what we do for stickers on our chart. If we get 7 books there's a popcorn party 14 is a ice cream and 20books for bowling. If your really good Mrs.Nichols said if you get 40 books you get pizza. Our class is doing really good so far.

In social studies we are learning about the three U.S. branches. Right now we are learning about the Judicial Branch is the Supreme Court. All together there are nine judges that come to the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court judge is called the Cheif Justice. They only work eight months,and the Cheif Justice has this job for life.








Tyson

tests

We take a reading test each week. They are not hard at all, most of us got one hundred percent. Our goal is to get 90% or above. Then she gets us cookies. They are from reading street. The tests are my favotite parts of the week. This week we read Satchel Paige, it was a awesome book. Please ask your child to show you his\her score.

Art class this year is really fun. We are doing something new
to us.We are doing comic strips. First we each had to create a unique comic charater. Then we had to make a worrior way comic strip including our charater. We drew our comics in pencil. Then we went over it with an ink pen. Last we colored it in with a colored pencil. It was fun because we got to make a one of a kind comic.

This year the luchroom is a lot better ,because you get to serve your own tray and choose your own food.It also has big windows to let the sunlight in when it is nice out.It is also alot better when we have PE because there is not chunks of food on the floor.We also have brand new tables that just fold up ,and you can roll them out of the way. I think that everyone likes it more because we have one lunchroon and one PE room.The PE room is right down the hall so it is in the same area but two diffrent rooms.This year it is is alot better to have just a room for lunch.

6th Grade Math

The 6th grade math group taught by Mrs.Buckton and Mrs.Nichols, is as fun as math gets! We get to play games, and use the iPods, and the computers. However we still work on math skills division, addition, subtraction, mean, mode, meadian. So really it isn't that fun but the teachers are nice so I guess it evens out. So to sum it at all up math is still math, plain old math.

Clickers

Sometimes when we take tests we have to use clickers. Clickers are like remotes because you have to click in the anwser. Also clickers are small so you can hold it in one hand then anwser. Everybody has their own clicker so when you anwser it knows it was you who just anwsered. Clickers are a fun and easy way to take a test.

Kennedy

We have a student teacher. His name is Mr.Hymbaugh. He will be in our class for seven weeks. He went to Graceland college. He is very tall. Almost as tall as Mr.Olson. We hope he likes it here.

Band

Hi, our band teacher is Mr.Hardy. During band we always are working. Our class has 14 kids in band. On days 3 , 5 we have band we have a big group and a small one. Our first concert is October 28. Hope you can come by. By Brook
